MATCH PREVIEW – BEDLINGTON v ROTHBURY

KICK-OFF 12.45PM.

Rothbury boss Danny Olson has a couple of injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s Combination Cup clash at Bedlington and says his side will have to get their sleeves rolled up if they want to make the semi finals.

The Reds top the table at the mid-day point but were dealt a blow as the popular Alex Makin suffered a shocking tib and fib break.

“In a week that has had, to say the least, highs and lows would be an understatement,” said Olson. “A great win at Forest Hall Celtic and a first hat trick of the season for Chris Coe was overshadowed by a double leg break to Alex Makin in the same game. I have to pay tribute to Makes who has been brilliant this season on the field but more so in the dressing room and especially with the young players and we hope he recovers quickly.”

The club have also announced major new redevelopment plans for Armstrong Park and the gaffer continued: “On the day chairman Dan Herron announces exciting future plans on the clubs bright future new signing Tom Roscoe, due to make his debut on Saturday at Bedlington, informed us from Ireland that he had an accident at home and has broken his wrist. To add to that Kyla has an important work interview and Sam has work as well. With Thor playing cricket it really is roll your sleeves up time.”
